A town of painted white sits on top of tall rocky cliffs and below the Labrador fur beaches fan out like an apron. This poetic description is about as poetic as this beach gets, it’s beautiful, but the atmosphere has to be described in far less romantic language. This is the place to come if you’re a tourist who doesn’t want to stray far from the comfort zone of a breakfast of bacon and eggs, your football team on a big screen telly and a fish and chips tea. In season every night is Friday night and the not uncharmless pedestrian streets reverberate with good time vibes at cheaper prices than at home. Travellers seeking a modicum of culture in their cocktail of sun, sea and sand go else, where but if you want to have a good time at a good beach for not much money then come on down, love.
