Listed under Tourist Attractions in South Dakota, United States.
The Corn Palace was originally built to convince settlers to choose South Dakota as their residence, based on the rich soil in the area. The area is now used as a center for both travellers and the community.
The Corn Palace holds shows, sports events and many more. The palace is dedicated to the heritage and agriculture of South Dakota. The Corn Palace Festival lasts from August 23-28 and includes musical acts and activities. Visiting the Corn Palace is free and tickets for concerts and events are online. The murals on the outside of the building are replaced every year and designed by local artists.
