This is an amazing workshop/holiday for any artist. Kathmandu is inspirational, the workshop is so well organised to allow painting time, excursion time and free time. Everything we needed was provided and thought about. It was wonderful to be part of such a friendly and fun group and have a chance to see parts of Kathmandu no ordinary tourist would have access to - demonstrations by Thanka painters, a tour of lost wax casting studio, drawing street models - the whole thing was exciting, fascinating - I will be recommending it to all my friends.

Are you from the US? was the trip exhausting?
Hi Ilsaa, I am an artist who found the site for this trip/workshop online and was fascinated by it. I would love to go to treat myself for my 65th birthday. I am a "young" senior not falling apart :O)! But in looking at the flights to find out costs etc - it is quite a journey to get to Nepal. The time I would like to go is in October.
Could you be so kind as to fill me in on how you did with jet lag, the altitude there, food, water, health issues (shots?) etc. I would love to hear all about it.
Thank you.
