Tasting places is no residential course; it’s a one stop shop to Michelin star glory, or at least a pretty impressive dinner party round yours. The school is well connected and sets up cooking master classes with London’s top chefs like Angela Hartnett, Alan Bird and Eric Chavot, who will spend the morning coaxing you to culinary glory and then the rest of the team will take over to serve you the gorgeous lunch you’ve cooked teamed up with some top class wine and informal conversation with the chef. The dishes you create depend on the chef running the course, but there’s a good variety of styles, from Thai to Mediterranean to good old British cuisine. This is not one for beginners; those who will get the most out of it will already be seasoned chefs and will need to be enthusiastic foodies to make it worth the price.
