The oldest and largest art museum in the state of Maine, the Portland Museum of Art houses more than 17,000 objects in three historic buildings. Collections range over three centuries of art and architecture. The museum showcases weekly alternative, foreign or classic films and offers art classes, music and lecture to supplement exhibits.
