Psiri has a dark past but it is a bright spot in modern Athens. Once the center of Athens’ underworld, the haven of revolutionaries and a popular hangout of rembetica musicians, today it is one of the most colorful areas of the city.

During the day Psiri is a fun area to explore with many leather shops and other small business but the real highlight of Psiri is its nightlife. At night, Psiri transforms from a charming working class neighborhood to a lively hub of cafés, restaurants, bars and ouzeries.
