Some architecture is so synonymous with a place that it looms large over it in the minds eye – crowding the skyline waiting for you to photograph it. Paris sans Tour Eiffel, Sydney without the Opera House or Pisa with a straightened tower would leave photographers wandering round wondering where to aim their glass eyes.
