Herod's ancienct port city of Caesarea, mentionned throughout the New Testament, has been restored into a beautiful coastal antiquity site located half way between the cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. A great place to spend a day, or a few hours, cafe's and art galleries brush shoulders with a new visitors centre with interactive displays of the history of this site. Visitors are able to walk through the ruins, the amphitheater (which has concerts throughout the summer), and the rest of the top-quality site all year round.
