Byblos is a growing town filled with hospitable people, old streets, half-ruins, and a rocky harbor. It is a mix between old-time traditions and modern people. Right outside the thriving city are excavated remains of the ancient city, the Crusader castle and church, as well as the old market area. There is much to be explored in this historic town. To best see the intriguing ruins, you can either climb to the top of the castle or walk around the area from outside the wall. There is also a fun Wax Museum located near the castle, displaying scenes from Lebanon's history and rural life of the country. Byblos welcomes tourists with their various restaurants, hotels, and shops.
