Conveniently located only an hour away from Barcelona with two airports in the vicinity, Port Aventura is easily accessible from anywhere in the world. As you enter the park, you will be greeted with five different themed sections, each home to similarly themed rides and attractions. One of PortAventura's most popular attractions is Dragon Kahn, a steel roller coaster with loops, corkscrews and a 148-foot high drop. Located in the Chinese themed section of the park, this coaster cruises along at 65 miles per hour, sending riders on a journey lasting 1 minute and 45 seconds. Throughout the year PortAventura hosts many seasonal events around the holidays. During Halloween (el Día de Todos los Santos), the park opens special themed shows and attractions. Animal lovers will adore PortAventura's “Aves del Paraíso,” where all types of exotic birds perform and amaze audiences with their beautiful colours.
