Nestled in the wooded hills of Central Pennsylvania, Knoebels is a notable find, winning awards from organizations like Amusement Today and The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. Conveniently seated next to a large camping ground, Knoebels has free admission, parking, and entertainment. The rides, however, cost money and you must purchase an all-day pass or a book of tickets. Similarly, many of the roller coasters are an additional fee. One of the most popular rides at Knoebels is The Phoenix, a wooden roller coaster with a 78-foot drop. This roller coaster has consistently made an appearance on Amusement Today's “Golden Ticket Awards.” Even the food at the park has gotten great recognition. Cesari's Pizza and the International Food Court have been featured in specials on The Food Network.
