Learn more about one of America’s favourite and famous founding fathers, Benjamin Franklin. Franklin Court is a museum complex focusing on the numerous accomplishments of this statesman, publisher, scientist, author, inventor and diplomat. While here you can see an 18th century printing shop and a postal museum in addition to the “Ghost House,” which outlines what was Franklin’s home. There is also an underground museum that focuses on Franklin’s inventions, including a musical instrument called a glass armonica. Located two blocks east of the Independence Mall on Market Street, there is no admission fee to go to Franklin Court.
