Jungle Survival Course (with exam...)

Listed under Activity Courses in Guyana.

If you were lost in the remote, wild jungles of South America with only a wet cigarette lighter and a squashed cereal bar, what would you do? If the answer would be to sit down and cry, then maybe you should consider getting some assistance from a Bushmaster.

Two weeks of in-depth training in Guyana's deepest jungle from a professional instructor and some immensely skilled local Makushi guides will leave you in no doubt as to where to hang your hammock, how to make a fire, which bugs to defend yourself against and which to eat.

The survival necessities of water, food, fire and shelter are all covered in considerable depth, and involve completely unexpected procedures such as drinking water from vines and eating piranhas.

Then comes the shock: being left on your own in an untouched piece of jungle for two days, to see if you can fend for yourself! Good luck...

Just reviewed. But it's something I'd really like to do. If you've done something similar please share!
