Every time I have some net access, I hope that they route their proxy via Saudi Arabia, as it has been the only way to access Blogger. Happily, on my last day in the beautiful Inle Lake, I've managed to get on again. Unhappily, I have a bus to catch in just a few minutes, so my coverage is relegated to a 'Featured Photo' of Bagan instead of a longer post.

The cold wind on my face as I bicycled toward the ruins, scrambling up a zedi at dawn to get a better view of the rising sun, the light reflecting on the thousands of stupas carpeting the plains below - how can one sleep through these kinds of memories?

So here's one of my favorites from my time in Bagan. Dawn on the 2nd day there, atop Bu-le-di.
