If you’re visiting New York soon, don’t miss Event Horizon, the amazing citywide art exhibition by British sculptor Antony Gormley (you know, Angel of the North, and Another Place just outside Liverpool). He’s the man currently putting the ‘man’ into Manhattan. As it were. And our ace friends at Ace Hotel New York are championing the British invasion.

Go figure Fans of the London art events scene may recall Gormley’s 2007 installation Event Horizon, which saw 31 of his man-size cast-iron nudes poised in dramatic locations around the South Bank’s Hayward Gallery, including atop the Royal Festival Hall and the Barbican.
Now the concept has been imported Stateside and sprinkled all over the streets (and architectural edifices) of New York’s Flatiron District in Manhattan. Spot one of the psuedo-Gormleys perched high up on the northeast side of the Empire State Building, on the Flatiron Building, on the former Metropolitan Life tower or on the New York Life Building.

I was mesmerized by the icebergs in Antarctica- each unique like a snowflake.
