“A holiday with Mountain Kingdoms can range from treks to Everest Base Camp to Machu Picchu, from gentle day walking to demanding high mountain adventure and with itineraries to suit all ages and levels.”

In 1987 Steve Bell and Steve Barry decided that they had much more in common than a first name. Not only did their surname begin with a B but they also happened to think that the Himalayas were in fact the most magnificent mountain ranges in the world, and so began a company aptly named Himalayan Kingdoms which went on to be the first British travel company to guide around Everest. In 1995 the two Steves amicably parted ways and Steve Berry continued to poineer exciting new climbing routes and later changed the company name to Mountain Kingdoms in 2008.

Mountain Kingdom now offers a range of different treks for all abilities all over the world and you dont have to be able to climb Everest to join in. Besides full camping treks, tea house trekking, homestays and hill tribe treks are now on offer and provide comfortable accommodation as well as contributing directly to the local economy. Luxury lodge trekking in many countries has a greater level of comfort still. Today, Mountain Kingdoms also offers Cultural Tours, Overlanding holidays and Trekking Peaks.
