“Africa-in-Focus runs specialist travel and photographic safaris that provide overland travel in comfort and style for the more discerning traveller.”
Africa-in-Focus provides the most comfortable and inclusive overland tours available - while not the cheapest they believe they offer best value for money. Their overland vehicle seats only 16 passengers plus they provide a crew of 3: a guide/tour leader, who is a knowledgeable photographer, a driver and an excellent cook. This is a semi-participation camping safari, but guests do not need to do the cooking, just help with the preparation, washing the dishes and cleaning the vehicle on a roster system. Africa in Focus provide spacious tents, with high density foam mattresses and pillows, so all you need to bring is a sleeping-bag/sheet, pillow-case and your personal items. As well as experiencing the wildlife, stunning landscapes and culture of Africa, there is some emphasis on Photography: the tour leader and qualified photographer is there to help you get more out of the photographic opportunities.
East and Southern Africa
Africa-in-Focus runs specialist travel and photographic safaris that provide overland travel in comfort and style. You may be interested in wildlife, landscape, culture or just adventure travel, but with Africa-in-Focus you get so much more. There is the opportunity to learn about taking better photographs with their photographically knowledgeable Tour leader. While on tour he will run workshops and discussions round the campfire on various topics of photography, helping you gain a better insight into the places that you visit. Africa-in-Focus offers competitively priced overland tours of 2-8 weeks in duration, including tailor-made trips for groups of 8-16 persons with particular interests. The tour price is inclusive everything the group does together (including game park fees).
Africa in Focus tours are geared toward those that wish to gain better insight into the countries that they visit. The general age range is from late twenties/early thirties up to about 75 and from all walks of life. They try to discourage gap year students as this is not a ‘party tour!'
