When I was a child my Mum used to tell everyone I was a wanderer, which I am. I like to get around on foot and see as much as possible of the world. In order to do this I do a lot of volunteer work which gives me a good reason to be somewhere else and I can then plan my walking trips from there. I also assist on remote film shoots for both features and documentaries as a guide, location scout and translator.

If you are planning your own adventure consider the cultural aspect and if you can put something back into the place, you’ll find it a much more rewarding experience.
