I am a seasoned traveller with a continuing hunger to explore parts of the world I do not already know. I have travelled extensively in America and Europe and worked along the way as a documentary television producer. My work also took me to Iran, Japan, Australia, North and West Africa. I love discovering the artistic cultures, cuisine and fashions of any country I visit. I have been to Thailand three times in the last year as I fell in love with the Thai people - and the food! I am also a nature lover and unspoiled landscapes inspire me - I often say that the Scottish landscape is my church. I am proud to be Scottish and even after all my travels, I feel it is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I relocated to Scotland after twenty years based in London and much as I enjoy urban landscapes also, I am ecstatically happy to be able to live in a peaceful village in the Trossachs after the hurly burly and stress of working life in London. I was lucky enough to celebrate Bastille Day in Paris recently with friends and had a fantastic experience of La Ville Lumiere, but getting back home is always good despite my wanderlust. I think the next country I want to visit as a tourist is Mali, (I got to know nearby Senegal well through my work), as its music fascinates and moves me.
