Simon Scutt always has had a love of walking, imbued in him by his father who was also an avid walker. But contrary to his father who never strayed beyond the UK, Simon has explored parts of the world that few others have set foot on.
He’s loved the outdoors ever since he was a child, but this was rekindled when he was asked to set up the walking wing of Andante Holidays. Just a few short years later, On Foot holidays was born, a company that specialises in providing self-guided walking holidays to places in Europe that are off the well-trodden track.
When asked which is his favourite walk, the answer is always the one that he has been on most recently…and then he’ll say ‘ I love them all’. But for Simon the walking is part of the whole experience of getting to the heart of a community, and he likes to balance great walking with a healthy dose of local food, wines and great hospitality.
Simon is never happier than when he’s discovering new routes to add to the On Foot product range and he’s currently exploring the heart of Hungary as a new possibility…
