I am Australian born and destined to live a life that isn’t “out of the box”.

At the age of 23 I made a spur of the moment decision to move to Brisbane from Adelaide to learn `computers` … several years on I moved south to Melbourne to where I had some of the best times of my life .. I moved to Melbourne for 12 months and 7 years later it was time to move on.

I’m now in Japan realising my dream of living and working an International existence …. and I love it.

I write about anything I want ….. I’m not exceptionally skilled with the pen so to speak … but I can write nonetheless.

A wise man and a very good friend once quoted ‘Dare mighty things, even though checkered with failure, rather than to rank with those grey souls that know neither victory or defeat’ words I plan on living by.

The ride past Hamamatsucho was the original inspiration for me to visit all 29 stops on the JR Yamanote Line. I can’t remember where it was I was going, but on route through this station I saw scenes I hadn’t previously seen so today I was off to explore"

  8. Neil Duckett wrote a blog post JR Yamanote Line - Gotanda

Gotanda on first impression would be what I would describe as very Japanese, lots of small bars and restaurants big enough for only a handful of people, something that has vanished from many other areas. Gotanda lacked the big name brand stores otehr plac"

Ebisu, formally Yebisu before the ‘ye’ was dropped for just an ‘e’ also happens to be a popular beer in Japan and it was actually the beer that named the town and the railway station, not the other way around as many would imagine."

On the weekends in Akihabara the main drag is closed to traffic and the streets swell with interesting sights, sounds and smells."
