Linda Svendsen is one of the Directors and co-owner of Boojum Expeditions. She has 35 years experience in outdoor education, skills, and uncommon adventure travel programs in the United States, Canada, Europe, Baja and Mexico, Central & South America, Pakistan, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Mongolia, China, Tibet and Kyrgyzstan. Her background in addition to horses includes rock climbing, mountaineering, white water rafting and sea kayaking. She has led horsepack trips in Yellowstone, Mexico, the Sierra Nevada and the Rockies, and in the early 1980’s pioneered the first known horseback trips to China in Inner Mongolia, eastern Tibet, Manchuria and the Altai Mountains in Xinjiang. In 1994 she co-led the first of many horseback treks throughout Mongolia which continue today.
