I consider myself lucky to have kayaked and cycled through out New Zealand as well as having cycled internationally in many other exciting destinations. Sharing these great adventures with friends and clients alike makes the trips even more enjoyable.

There is nothing like the feeling of enjoyment you get sitting around with a beer or glass of wine after a day full of adventure and excitement. It doesn’t matter if your sitting in a great restaurant or in front of your tent in an alpine meadow it’s the people, places and the activity that make these indelible memories. These experiences cost little and help define your life beyond material assets, enriching and expanding your sphere of conscious thought and impregnating your subconscious with memories that will be your to keep for life!

My personal goal in life is not to have more money and hair than Donald Trump, but to enjoy the outdoors and show some good people what's great about New Zealand and beyond.

While all of New Zealand offers amazing cycling the majority of cycle tourists prefer the South Island for its scenery, less traffic and easier cycling. One of the best cycling trips in New Zealand is along the West Coast of the South Island. In six o…"

  8. Hedley Wilton reviewed Kayaking Kaikoura in North Island, New Zealand

The rugged coast around Kaikoura on New Zealand's South Island is a great place to go sea kayaking with the locals - who are sharks, dolphins, seals, whales and other members of the animal kingdom.  While it's best that whales keep their distance from yo…"

  13. Hedley Wilton reviewed Kayaking Marlborough and Queen Charlotte Sounds in South Island, New Zealand

This is great country for a soft adventure: you can camp out if you want to but if you enjoy paddling and exploring by day but like your creature comforts in the evening , you can stay in one of the local lodges which range from basic to five star.  Nume…"

  14. Hedley Wilton reviewed Kayaking Doubtful and Milford Sounds in South Island, New Zealand

This cool fjord edged slice of coastline will tear you away from the crowds. The scenery is varied: rainforests sweep down to hidden beaches or else the coast is lined with rocky cliffs. Water conditions are also changeable with an amazing ecosystem wi…"

  15. Hedley Wilton reviewed Able Tasman National Park Kayaking in South Island, New Zealand

With two big islands, a multitude of smaller islands and miles of pristine coastline, rugged mountain ranges and lots of water its not hard to see how New Zealand is so popular for both Seakayaking and whitewater paddling. Several hotspots lend themsel…"

  18. Hedley Wilton reviewed Paddling Murchison's whitewater in South Island, New Zealand

Murchison is the epicentre for the South Islands white water scene, it's got great local rapids - up to gradeV - dramatic passage of water churning and bubbling though deep gorges into open stretches of river winding over rapids, waterfalls and enough p…"
