Kill two birds with one stone and decide to do your Christmas shopping by booking a hot November Holiday! It could be a good way to justify getting out of town in November and topping up your beach tan and besides, the crowds are less and the fares lower than just a few weeks later. Dubai is known for its shopping, so it' an obvious choice for a quick getaway before Christmas. Where else? Venezuela’s Margarita Island has wide flat beaches over which warm November winds blow, and the shallow waters lapping around the island's beaches are bright blue, inviting, and a good place to have kitesurfing lessons or go horseriding if you need a proper escape before the Xmas madness begins. For a more laid back sunny November holidays, the Florida Keys have a relaxed vibe, plenty of opportunities to float lazily in the water, either on a sailing boat, kayak or just float on your belly wearing a snorkel. If that’s not laid back enough, Sunny Queensland’s Kuranda and the Great Barrier Reef - adjacent to Port Douglas - have reputations with the hippy crowds for being about as easy going as you can get. Honeymooners gravitate to the Caribbean for hot November holidays. It's technically still hurricane season, but only just, and the low November prices reflect the fact. The Baja Peninsula’s jungle shores, dotted through with ancient Mayan treasures, will keep sunny holiday loving history buffs entertained, but are also on the list of romantic breaks, There’s even a beach called ‘Lover’s Beach’ – and the beaches are safe and snorkel friendly. Mauritius, said by Mark Twain to have been the template for heaven, and the Seychelles top the list for November romance in the sun, as they do throughout the winter months – sand, sun, sea, heat…irresitible. Europeans who can’t quite get that far, or spend that much, but long for some November warmth should try Egypt’s Sharm El Sheikh or Gran Canaria. They’re not dead certs for sunny holidays and hot weather conditions but they’re your best bet if you can’t factor in a long haul flight. If, by November, you have no limitations on your time or money, having already finished your Christmas shopping, the most idyllic destination for hot November holidays in the warm tropical sunshine is the Cook Islands.
