Taj Lake Palace shimmers over the serene waters of Lake Pichola in the city of Udaipur, India, as it did when Maharana Jagat Singh II first decreed its construction in 1746. Overlooking fountain pavilions, hilltop fortresses, ancient temples and medieval gardens, this regal hotel announces the gateway to Udaipur. The hotel floats almost magically on the lake's surface.
