When you enter the 4 star Hotel Palace you cannot fail to notice its retro atmosphere. Then you realise that it's not contrived, but authentic: the building was in fact designed in the '20s and the frescoes are from the '30s, giving the hotel the air of elegance and luxury of a bygone era.
