This amazing adventure within the world’s largest rainforest encompasses the finest that Ecuador has to offer, from the waters of the Amazon River hidden in the rich Amazon Basin to the vivid colors of the Galapagos Islands.

The place to start your holiday is in Quito, a modern city with exquisite colonial architecture, before traveling east to the exotic rainforest of the Amazon Basin , which is home to over 400 types tropical birds and whose canopy encompasses over 750 different species of trees. When you arrive back in Quito, the drive north is breathtaking through the Andes mountain scenery. Otavalo is known worldwide for its amazing market filled with brightly colored textiles and friendly indigenous Indian culture.

The journey continues on a sensational 8-day cruise through the unspoiled paradise Galapagos Islands, where you will find the romantically secluded beaches a perfectly relaxing end to your adventure through the Andes and the Amazon.

Suggested Itinerary

Day 1: Fly into Ecuador
Days 2-4: Fly to Amazon Basin. Guided tours and canoe trips. Spend the night in one of the cabanas around the Napo River.
Days 5-6: Fly back into Quito. Rent a car and drive to Otavalo for a local exploration. Spend the night in Otavalo.
Day 7: Return back to Quito for the night.
Days 8-14: Fly to Baltra to begin an 8-day cruise around the Galapagos Islands.
Day 15: Disembark the cruise at Baltra and fly home.
