One of the Mediterranean's windiest islands, Karpathos has the beaches and coves to take full advantage of the north winds blowing across it between April and October.

There are three main windsurfing spots on the island, the Lagoon, which has shallow water and is good for beginners and freestyles, Gun Bay, where the wind is gusty and Devils Bay, which has constant strong winds and flat water ideal for speed sailors.

Beautiful as well as practically appointed for windsurfing, Karpathos has lovely coves and beaches to explore, some sandy and some pebbled and is a relatively quiet island, with several very traditional Greek towns.
