See more Windsurfing. See best of Houmt Souk in Tunisia.

Djerba's coast of fine white sand, waist deep water and ample space is ideal for windsurfing. The wind itself is also on the amicable side - not generally very strong - so it's a better spot for beginners than advanced wind lovers. North-easterly winds are fairly constant though, and are stronger during the winter months.

Djerba is a popular tourist destination, particularly for European tourists, and there are plenty of activities for your family or partner if they don't love windsurfing as much as you do, including diving, water skiing, mountain biking and golf. Several schools operate here so if nothing else grabs then you can get them learning to windsurf.
