Built in 1932 by David Duncan of the Macintosh Toffee family, Giraffe Manor is a Scottish hunting lodge, yet boasting views of Mt. Kilimanjaro and surrounded by 140 acres of indigenous forest just outside Nairobi. The Manor is exclusive, with only six fully-furnished luxury bedrooms available. At this point you’re probably wondering what the Giraffe have to do with this place. Well, the manor has its own herd of giraffe that just roam about the place and you’ll often find a giraffe just poking its nose in a window or door to say hello! So as well as sampling some of the finest cuisine in Kenya from one of the finest kitchens, you get to hang out with the giraffes! How sweet is that?
