Dog Bark Park is a bed and breakfast honouring the roadside architecture found along the highways of America. In homage to the coffee pot gas stations and milk bottle shaped restaurants, the hotel was designed by artists Dennis Sullivan and Frances Conklin. I say designed, basically the bed and breakfast is in the shape of a beagle, with entry gained via a second storey deck. The rooms aren’t what you would call luxurious, but they have a rustic quaintness and the two artists are to be found in their carving shop next door and are passionate about their work, so are always willing to stop and talk.
