A picturesque train ride and heritage centre in one, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway's perfectly restored smart, shiny trains are the most popular of their kind in the country, and steam their way from historic, atmospheric Whitby through Grosmont, the centrepiece of which is a restored 1950s railway station and visitor centre. They move on to the lovely woodland village of Levisham, Goathland Village and the market town of Pickering.
