Cosmopolitan centre for activities in the Patagonian lake district, Bariloche’s main income comes from visitors. Skiers, walkers, horse riders, climbers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts alike are drawn to this beautiful countryside of lakes, surrounded by plains, surrounded by spectacular mountains. Looking like a European alpine town, Bariloche is mostly known as a posh ski resort. As well as tourism, Bariloche produces chocolate and smoked food and is known for its restaurant culture.
