The vision of a giant hand marked with an Auschwitz number tattoo reaching toward the sky as victims of concentration camps crawl up the forearm is a truly moving sight to behold. The Holocaust Memorial in Miami is a solemn yet powerful memorial for the 6 million Jews who died between 1933 and 1945. There is a history of the Holocaust inscribed in black granite along the reflecting pool. A hallway with names of concentration camps and those who died there can also be visited. This memorial ensures that the 6 million lives lost will not be forgotten.
