East of Angkor Thom, this is a Bayon style temple originally founded as a Buddhist monastery and university in the 12th or 13th Century. Unlike many of Cambodia’s other great temples, Ta Prohm (originally called Rajavihara) has been left as is, with bits of jungle reclaiming parts of the structures.
