Trail of the Khmer
Follow the trail of the Khmer and embark on a journey which will take you to sights such as the ancient temples of Angkor and give you time to swim under the spectacular Kuang Si Falls.

The Great Stupa of Vientiane, Pha That Luang, is one of the most important spiritual buildings in Laos, it is also an important symbol of national independence. As much a stronghold as a temple, Pha That Luang is quite a heavy looking temple in the shape of a low pyramid with spired, narrow stupas, like missiles, along its edges and at its centre. It is surrounded by a high wall toped by a cloister with small windows and red lacquer doors. This 16th Century Buddhist temple was built on a 13th Century Khmer temple, built on a 3rd Century Indian temple.
