This is a good spot for a winter surfing safari. It’s a consistent hollow left reef break with a rocky bottom for a smooth wave surface but no good if you hit the bottom, so beginners be careful out here. There’s also some great barrels when the conditions are right. The spot is just past Muizenberg Beach which is still considered part of Cape Town, it’s a sloping beach with a small take off. Locals say it’s good in the Summer when it swells - but I haven’t seen it myself. There’s a bit of posturing around, but it’s more friendly than rough. There’s a nice boho vibe here along the wharf and you can sample the local wines and boutiques, cafes and one of a kind cafes and restaurants.
