See more Museums. See best of Nuremberg in Germany.

The world’s largest collection of German art, consisting of more than 1.2 million pieces is housed at the German National Museum, Nürnberg. Around 20,000 items are on display in buildings ranging from a former monastery, which exhibit’s the medieval and religious collections to ultra modern glass and steel constructions, exhibiting more modern and industrial era pieces. One of the highlights is the world’s oldest globe (1491). A lot of the descriptions are only in German.
