The Bodleian Library has a history dating back to 1602 and its roots date back even further. As well as being the main research library for Oxford University, it is a copyright deposit library; its collections are used by scholars around the world. The Bodleian is housed in buildings spread around Oxford, the most famous of which is the Divinity School, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture. Great treasures housed here include Shakespeare's First Folio and a complete copy of a Gutenberg bible.
