Titanic Spa

Once home to the Titanic textile mill, the huge industrial building is now a revitalised spa and apartments that share the same name. Titanic is the UK's first eco-spa. It aims to have little impact on the environment so you can pamper yourself without conscience. The spa is supplied with water from a bore hole on site. The facilities for people with disabilities are impressive, too. On entering, the atmosphere is one of space, with cool greens and browns. The entrance hallway is beautifully done in stone. It isn't set up as so many spas are with the pool and treatments rooms in the same place - the pool and gym are separate from the spa. You can easily walk between them when spa-ing, but you have to walk through the public reception area (people wearing clothes!) to get there - this does affect the holistic spa experience. However my hamman massage was great, and the Decleor Aromaplastie Illuminating Facial was one of the best I've had - and I've had a lot of facials!
