Le Arcs is linked to La Plagne and like it’s neighbour it’s good for beginners and intermediates, with lots of wide blue runs. The guys at Les Arcs really look after their runs so there’s lots of good packed speed runs. They also look after their lifts and I hardly had to wait at all. If you’re a confident boarder I would suggest you go to Grand Col, which is tricky enough to be interesting but still fun. There are a few separate towns that make up the resort and you can stay near your favourite run and almost board out your front door. It also means that if you have kids you can stay away from the nightlife and if that’s why you board you can stay at party central. My last recommendations for Les Arcs, ‘The Civilised Choice’, is go after February because it’s quieter and eat at Benjis.
