See more Self catering. See best of East Anglia in United Kingdom.

Famous for its historic fishing industry (particularly Cromer crab) and as a faded 19th century seaside resort, Cromer sits peacefully on the Norfolk coast, its Victorian streets and crisp, white pier evocative of a time when simple pleasures reigned in summertime: brisk, seaside walks (of which there are plenty to be had here), fresh English seafood, folk festivals and paddling in the surf (on the blue-flag beach). Fortunately, the accommodation hasn’t all stayed in-keeping with the traditional theme and Cromer’s restored lighthouse cottage, The Link, can definitely be described as simple, modern and comfortable. It’s just a mile from the town and commands glorious sea views from beneath the lighthouse itself, which is now automated (and fog-hornless!). Unusually pleasant décor for a self-catering property sets this place apart a little further still, and you’ll find a pretty double bedroom, large bathroom and open plan living area under the cosy domed roof, with all the facilities you would want at home.
