Sabuk

See more Lodges and Ranches. See best of Kenya

Sabuk is a small hill top lodge set on a valley of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Totalling 7 rooms, each having been built out of the local stone and olive wood, the views across the valley and to the river below are memorable. The rooms themselves have been well thought out and each has an open side that looks out across the valley making the most of the view. Open air showers and large verandas add to the sense of space and wilderness. The communal area is made up of a large dining table and comfortable lounge with open fire and veranda. The camp is especially famous for camel trekking, but swims in the pool and fly camping in the local area are also a speciality. With great food and very personal service from Verity, Sabuk offers a real touch of widerness and beauty. The rooms are all well maintained and have great views and the area benefits from having good game year round. Generally a lovely spot to relax for a few days after a trip to the Mara…the camel rides are especially worth it!
