Cotahuasi Canyon Trek in Peru
Participate in an expedition with an objective; trek the entire length of the worlds deepest canyon, the Cotahuasi. Explore the beautiful colonial architecture of the city of Arequipa and relish in the spectacular altiplano and volcanic scenery.

Running through the deepest canyon in the world is this magnificent river, only relatively recently opened up to rafters (since 1994). This remote river features 120km of continuous Class IV to V rapids. Not for the faint-hearted, and definitely for experienced rafters only, the two day walk-in is rewarded with 6 days of world class rapids, in a spectacular setting, flanked on both sides of the river by largely unexplored and unspoilt Inca ruins.
