See more Parks. Near to Osaka (43.52 km) in Japan.

In April each year, Japanese take great pleasure in picnicking under the beautiful flowers of the sakura, or Japanese cherry trees, which only bloom for a few glorious days. The sakura bloom begins in the south and migrates northward steadily throughout the month. Every region of Japan has its celebrated sakura-viewing locales, but famous ones include the Heian temple garden in Kyoto, the grounds of Osaka castle, the grounds of Hikone castle, and Mt. Yoshino near Nara - a mountain completely covered in sakura.
