The limestone landscape of Pirin National Park is dotted with glacial lakes, waterfalls, caves, and pine forests. Located in south western Bulgaria, Pirin National Park is the home of many rare species of flora and fauna protected within this UNESCO World Heritage site. Edelweiss and the Pirin poppy flower among the rocks while the Baikusheva pine grows within the dense forests. Mountain trekking is the most popular form of tourism within the park.
