How to Arrive via JFK
AirTrain JFK
AirTrain JFK is a shuttle that connects JFK to the subway system and commuter trains, stopping at all the terminals, car rental lots, Jamaica and Howard Beach subway stations in Queens. Within the airport, the cost is free, but to leave the airport on AirTrain, transportation is $5. Between JFK and Manhattan, travel time is approximately 30 minutes.
City Buses
Many buses also make stops at the airport and then continue on to the subway system and the Long Island Rail Road. To connect to the subway via buses Q3, Q10, and B15, transportation is free with a MetroCard. Q3 will take you to Queens and to subway trains F and R. Q10 travels to Queens and makes stops for subways A, E, F, and R at Lefferts Blvd. B15 heads toward East New York and Brooklyn for subway trains 3 and 4.
Taxi
Taking a taxi is a more expensive option, with a flat rate from JFK to Manhattan costing $45, excluding tips and tolls.
Limo
Booking a Limo from the airport to Manhattan will can run between $50 and upwards of $300, depending on the destination and type of limousine. Many Internet services offer quotes and you can pre-book them online.
