A list of mountains cannot be complete without the highest one… With 8848m/29,029ft Mount Everest lies on the border of Nepal and Tibet. The BaseCamps are very nice places to visit even if you are not a high altitude mountaineer. An expedition takes 2 months and can cost from $10,000 to almost 8 times as much, depending on the outfitter and route. The Nepalese BaseCamp can be reached by way of a 10 days trekking where you will sleep in simple but nice teahouses, passing other Himalayan giants like Nuptse and Ama Dablam. The BaseCamp on the Northern side can be reached by car, which will show you a lot of culture on the way.
