Royal Birkdale Golf Links

Royal Birkdale is a truly famous links. It is England's highest-rated course and widely recognised for its fairness. It lies in a series of valleys surrounded by dunes and is kept in constant good condition, with challenging greens and some excellent holes, such as the very trying 18th. Its proximity to the sea makes it a windy site on occasion, and pushes the level of difficulty very high.
