Paramotoring offers all the excitement, simplicity and peace of paragliding, but with an added booster: a small auxiliary motor is attached to the pilot’s back, allowing take-off from a small area of low ground and up to four hours of gentle, cruising, powered flight.
As with paragliding, full training is required first. This takes around five days, but the result is a license to paramotor from your own land using your own equipment. (A full paragliding license is required if you want to venture further.)
Try the Axis Paragliding School in Abergavenny, South Wales. Their expert tutors run courses to all levels, and even take groups abroad to learn in more clement weather conditions.
